With fiber optics you do not get any additional heat, or any ultraviolet light in the cable. It is ideal for use in and around water, precious artifacts, paintings, or combustible surfaces. You get multiple applications from one light source and it operates on less than 1 - 2 amps. The cable is durable, UV protected so there is nothing to break or burn out, and is virtually maintenance free.

The illuminator, or light source is the engine that drives the light through the cable. Most units are equipped with a color wheel. This allows the cable to change from pure white to up to eight different colors. If several illuminators are used, they may be synchronized to change color uniformly. Some units may also be outfitted with either a programmable dusk to dawn timer or a remote control.

The fiber optics is simple to install. It uses a white PVC track comes with tail. The tail can be snapped into any recess. Ideal for retrofitting an inground vinyl pool. Also acts as a liner lock and is ideal for new concrete pool construction.
